A Blog Is Born

This summer I am being blessed with a four-month sabbatical (thanks to the Lord and my family at Christ is King Community Church!)
Among the highlights of the summer will be a lengthy motorcycle trip. I will ride to Boston and meet my wife, Linda, on June 28. We will take two weeks to return home to Nebraska.
I decided to make things interesting by planning a long outbound journey: Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, almost 3,400 miles.
On our return trip we will cover more than 2,200 miles: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska, more than 2,100 miles.
25 states.
5,500 miles.
24 days.
I’ll be posting here as we continue to plan. Before the bike trip I will be in New Hampshire for a conference, Linda and I will be in China for two weeks visiting friends, we’ll spend a week in Colorado with family, and another week in the Rocky Mountain state on the bike as a warm-up.
Between my iPad and iPhone I think that we should be able to keep the blog updated and provides lots of pictures.
